Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 11, 2026

Gravity Laps ("we", "us", or "our") helps mountain bikers accurately record bike park days by removing chairlift segments from their rides. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By connecting your Strava account, you agree to the practices described here.

Connecting Your Strava Account

Gravity Laps works by connecting to your Strava account using Strava's secure OAuth authorization. We never see or store your Strava password. When you authorize the connection, Strava provides us with access tokens that allow the app to read and update your activities on your behalf. You can revoke this access at any time from your Strava settings.

Information We Collect

To provide our service, we collect and store the following on our servers:

We do not collect a password from you and we do not require any account separate from Strava.

How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect solely to provide the app's core features:

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service (see below) or to comply with the law.

Data Processing & Storage

Your imported activities and account details are stored in our database to display your bike park days and to process corrections you request. Activity data is processed on our servers to detect lift segments. We retain this data only as long as needed to provide the service.

Third-Party Services

Gravity Laps integrates with Strava to read and update your activities. Your use of Strava is governed by Strava's Privacy Policy. We may use third-party infrastructure providers (such as hosting and database services) to operate our servers; these providers process data only on our behalf and under appropriate safeguards.

We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Data Retention & Deletion

You can disconnect Gravity Laps from your Strava account at any time via your Strava settings, which immediately revokes our access. You may also request deletion of all data we hold about you by contacting us at the email below. Upon disconnection or a deletion request, we delete your stored activity data, account details, and authorization tokens.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

Children's Privacy

Gravity Laps is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
